July 2014

Ahh I am so so so behind, but I have loved looking back through past posts and pictures the past few days as I am feeling like my kids are suddenly so much more grown up so I am committed to getting mostly caught up and keeping this going!

Just a few days later was the 4th of July so we went to the parade in Provo.

Our friends the Willis family were here while Emma was doing a basketball camp.  We were lucky enough to meet up with them a few times while they were here.

The beginning of July is my birthday and Alli planned a surprise party.  She was so excited and was such a little sweetie about it keeping it a secret by recruiting some help from our neighbor and dad and grandma to make sure she had supplies for "little sandwiches, snacks, cake, and balloons."  she planned out games and decorated in our neighbor's backyard.  She made and handed out invitations to our neighbors.  Then I went for a massage courtesy of my mom.  Came home and hung out and Ryan took me to dinner.  I came home to a surprise party my dear Ryan had planned! My family and a lot of our neighbors and neighborhood friends came over! I definitely felt so loved and special! Love, Love birthdays!

On the 4th of July after the parade we went fishing for a bit.  It was lots of fun!

We had a little fireworks extravaganza with family and some neighbors.

Little brother sometimes wears older sister's nightgowns :).

We decided we wanted to get a dog.  So we went and checked out this darling American Bulldog.

And these super cute golden labs.
But this big guy was our pick.  Meet Buddy the boxer.  Ryan and I had a few other options for names, but the kids wanted Buddy "Because he is such a good friend and likes to be with us" so Buddy he is!
He sure is gangly and goofy-fits right in! He has been a lot of fun!

The boys having some quality time!

Oh this little boy is crazy, funny, and oh so sweet.  I am so glad I am his mama!
These girls thought perhaps it was Halloween in July and accompanied dad to the store in their full witch get ups!

 Ilene loved holding baby Kennedy.
 So did Alli.
They had fun climbing in the backyard tree after meeting Kennedy.
 Beautiful sunset!!

Who doesn't want to go for a horse ride??
Cam playing peekaboo on grandma's chairs.

Can't be the 24th of July without the rodeo!

Enjoying the parade with cousins!

Taking a little hike to the grotto

We kinda like the pup!
I really like this guy!! We had a great time at the Tim McGraw concert!

It as a little bit surreal to be so close to such a talented performer who I have really liked for so many years! I love that he is still such a down to earth guy.

Beauties with flowers in their hair from grandma's.

Handsome little dude even with chocolate on his face!

Unfortunately he totally fell and his tooth went through his lip :(.  At first we thought he needed a stitch, but by the time we were going to leave to the dr it started to seal up so we skipped the doc and let it heal on its own.
Our "amazing" cake for the youth bake off.

Food Alli prepared for my surprise party...such a sweet, thoughtful girl!

I loved the games she came up with and the rules!
